Why become a member?

  • The collective is stronger than the individual. The Connecticut Breastfeeding Coalition dedicated to improving Connecticut’s health by working collaboratively to protect, promote, and support breastfeeding.
  • Network and befriend like-minded individuals with similar values. In our community we value collaboration from a variety of individuals—including healthcare professionals, mothers, families, students, public health professionals, etc. We are interested in whatever you would like to bring to the table.
  • Be an active member of a community. We are trying to grow, strengthen, and support the breastfeeding community in Connecticut in order to improve our health through breastfeeding promotion. We have monthly meetings which can be accessed remotely, where you will be welcome to share ideas, or just listen to what is going on in the coalition.
  • Membership to the CBC is free. However, your donation helps us continue to promote, protect, and support breastfeeding in Connecticut. As an all-volunteer non-profit, your contributions allow us cover our operating costs, provide educational content and materials to the community, and launch new initiatives that support our mission. No amount is too small, we greatly appreciate it!

All CBC members and the general public are invited to attend the monthly CBC membership meetings.
