I am passionate about post-partum breastfeeding support in general ESPECIALLY in black and brown populations. I would love to contribute to increasing the occurrence and initiation of breastfeeding in BIPOC populations. Moreover, I am very interested in issues impacting maternal health (especially mental), the interplay of race and SES on maternal & infant mortality, as well as perinatal safety and self-care. I work as a Breastfeeding Peer Counselor at TVCCA WIC. I attended school in Michigan. I enjoy playing with my children and nieces and learning about people of various backgrounds/cultures. I have exclusively breastfed 2 kids for 45+ months and I am a Certified Lactation Counselor with the ALPP.
