MARILYN LONCZAK MEd., RD, CLC
Marilyn Lonczak MEd, RD, CLC has been working in the field of community nutrition for over 27 years. She has spent her career in WIC, working at all levels-Federal, State, and local- of the Special Supplemental Nutrition Program for Women, Infants and Children. She is thrilled her professional life involves the promotion and support of breastfeeding, which became her passion in college when she learned of the critical breastfeeding support the WIC Program provided to families.
In her role as the DPH/WIC Breastfeeding Coordinator she continues to be inspired daily by the countless breastfeeding advocates she has the pleasure of collaborating with in the quest to improve the breastfeeding environment in Connecticut.
Equally thrilling, is spending quality time with Tim, her friend and partner for the past 20 years, and her 15-year-old daughter Vivian Christine, who had “nummies” (nursed) until age 4 ½. Together they enjoy nature walks, snowshoeing, traveling to the Cape, Walt Disney World, and watching both Marvel and dystopian science fiction movies.
