Chris is a registered nurse who graduated from the Ona M. Wilcox School of Nursing. She completed her BSN at Central Ct State University and Masters in Nursing Education at the University of Hartford. Chris has been employed at The Hospital of Central Connecticut as a newborn and special care nursery nurse for more than 20 years.

Chris became an IBCLC in 1998. She has worked as a Lactation Consultant at The Hospital of Central Connecticut (THOCC). She is also currently employed by MCH Services, Inc. and has provided corporate lactation services to several businesses in and around CT including Aetna, JP Morgan Chase, and Price Waterhouse Coopers for the past 11 years. Chris has been very active in the CT Breastfeeding Coalition since its inception in 2001. She has been a member of the board as the Chairperson of Policy and Advocacy and Co-chair of the Conference Committee. As conference co-chair, she oversaw 5 successful statewide conferences featuring national and international speakers. As chair of Policy and Advocacy, Chris represented the CBC at the USBC meeting where The Business Case for Breastfeeding was introduced. Chris was responsible for the implementation of the Business Case for Breastfeeding in Connecticut, one of the first 10 states to be awarded funding through MCHB. Chris is presently serving as Administrative Assistant for Connecticut Breastfeeding Initiative, a program to assist 10 Connecticut hospitals toward Baby-Friendly designation.
